The inaugural prideofaustralia™ award program was launched in 2005. Since then thousands of stories have been uncovered about everyday Australians who have made extraordinary contributions to their communities through their selfless actions, courage, compassion and heroism.

They represent countless Australians who make our communities better places to live by going out of their way to help their neighbours.

These stories have been heart-warming, courageous and have unearthed what we always knew was there - a well of greatness at the grass roots.

prideofaustralia™ is our way of bringing to public attention these unsung heroes of our communities and I am very proud of this program.
