Once your nomination has been received, you will be sent confirmation in writing congratulating you on your achievement and requesting your permission to continue in the medal process. If your nomination meets the relevant category criteria and Rules of Entry, your nomination will be eligible for further consideration.
Once nominations close, each nominee will be reviewed by the Pride of Australia Medal committee in each State and Territory and three nominees per category will be chosen as state finalists. Each state finalist will be contacted and asked for their written permission to continue with the judging process.
A unique sterling silver medal will be presented to each state winner at a ceremony in their capital city and they will be eligible to win the gold National Pride of Australia Medal in their category at an awards ceremony in Sydney in August 2012.
