Nomination Process

When your nomination has been received, you will be sent confirmation in writing that it has been lodged and is being reviewed by the prideofaustralia™medal committee in your State or Territory.

If your nomination satisfies the category criteria and meets the Rules of Entry, your nomination will be eligible for further consideration.

All nominees will receive a letter of recognition. Only nominees who are chosen as finalists will be contacted by phone and asked for permission to continue with the judging process. If the nominee agrees to participate they will receive an information pack outlining the judging process.

When nominations close, all short listed nominees will be reviewed against all nominations in that category by the prideofaustralia™medal committee in your State or Territory to select up to three finalists for each medal category.

A judging panel consisting of community leaders and senior representatives of the participating News Limited newspaper in your State or Territory will select the winners of the Pride of Australia Medal.

Each winner will be presented their medal at an award ceremony which will be held in each State and/or Territory.

Winners will be published in the participating News Limited newspaper/s in each State and/or Territory.
